When Samuel Grosberg documented his story for the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba’s Endowment Book of Life, he said, “The streets were my university, and I survived ... but no one should have to learn that way.”
This conviction motivated Grosberg to leave a significant bequest for scholarships and education awards, including a unique award just established at the Jewish Foundation: the Grosberg Family Judaic Studies/Hebrew Teachers’ Award.
This annual award of up to $5,000 will assist teachers who wish to take additional training in order to enhance the Judaic Studies or Hebrew curriculum of their schools or their own teaching practice.
The application deadline for this award is February 28. For complete guidelines and an application form, click here.
