Funds Designed to Fullfill your Philanthropic Wishes
The Foundation offers donors a variety of flexible giving options and will work with you to tailor a fund that is best suited to meet your philanthropic objectives.
An Undesignated Fund invites you to support the areas of greatest community need on an annual basis. The income from undesignated funds gives the Foundation the flexibility to address current and evolving community priorities and fulfills its annual scholarship and grant obligations.
A Permanently Designated Fund invites you to name a specific charity to benefit from the annual income from your fund. If you have supported favourite charities or causes throughout your lifetime, this is the ideal way to continue your support in perpetuity.
A Field of Interest Fund invites you to support charities within a specific area of interest such as healthcare, education or the arts. This fund gives the Foundation discretion to allocate the annual income to programs, projects and agencies within this broad field.
A Donor Advised Fund invites you to be actively involved in selecting recipients for your annual distribution. This fund is the ideal choice if you intend to establish a large fund that will generate considerable annual income, and is a cost effective alternative to creating a private foundation.
A Scholarship Fund invites you to establish an academic scholarship in your name or in the name of a loved one, and annually provide deserving students with financial support. Scholarships can be general in nature or directed to a specific field of study or to specific criteria like academic excellence. |

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah Fund invites you to instill the principles of tzedakah and philanthropy in a child celebrating his or her rite of passage ceremony. Once the fund reaches $1,000, the child for whom the fund is named is invited to determine its annual allocation.
Women’s Endowment Fund invites you to support projects that exclusively benefit Manitoba women. The annual income from this fund is distributed to organizations that apply for funding for projects and programs designed to enhance the lives of girls and women.
An In-memoriam Fund invites you to honour the memory of a loved one in perpetuity. The annual income from this named fund can be directed to a cause that was important to the deceased or allocated as undesignated funds for the benefit of the community.
An Organizational Endowment Fund invites your charitable organization to establish its own endowment fund within the Foundation. This fund provides your organization with annual income to use at its discretion, and assures your supporters that their contributions are being managed professionally.
A Flow-through Fund invites you to flow through up to 50 percent of your gift directly to charitable organizations, while the Foundation retains the other 50 percent as permanent capital in an endowment fund in your name. A minimum donation of $100,000 is required for this fund.
