In 2012, Leya and Bernie Tapper established the Richard Tapper Memorial Fund in memory of their son Richard Tapper (z''l). This fund is housed within the Camp Massad Organizational Endowment Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba. All interest accrued from this endowment fund goes directly to Camp Massad.

Richard Tapper Memorial Floor Hockey Tournament

For two years now, Camp Massad has held simultaneous floor hockey tournaments in Winnipeg and Toronto in memory of Richard Tapper. Net proceeds derived from this year's upcoming event will be directed to the Richard Tapper Memorial Fund under the Camp Massad Organizational Endowment Fund umbrella. This organizational endowment fund directly supports Camp Massad - somewhere very special to Richard.
