Special Grants


Special Grants are awarded once a year. The deadline for applications is September 15. Applications are accepted for one month prior the deadline. Special Grants are available to individuals residing in Manitoba. The total funds available are $20,000 annually, which may be shared by more than one successful applicant.

These grants:

  • Should be of benefit to the Jewish community;
  • Enable the opportunity to address social and community issues in Manitoba;
  • Should be creative and/or innovative;
  • Support one-time projects, not sustaining grants. Projects must be of a non-profit nature;
  • May be, but are not limited to, the following areas:
    • Arts and Culture;
    • Educational Programming.

Please note that capital equipment purchase requests are not permitted.

Preference will be given to new applicants or applicants who have not previously been awarded a Special Grant.

Grants are normally given for no more than $10,000.
